About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Review! Bella Vol 1 By Kimberly Blalock

*****Please note that Bella has been re-edited. Amazon has asked that readers go to their account settings and select manage content and enable your devices syncing capability to receve the updated version. This was thought to have been pushed through at release and in fact had not been done. Thank you****

My name is Isabella Sagatori. To my father I’m a princess, to others I’m an opportunity. They call me the mafia princess.

My life had been beautiful, I’d never wanted for anything. I took each day as it came and embraced it with Insight, laughter, and love. I chose not to live in the dark shadows,
until now.
Edition
Skip ahead and here I am running for my life, for my father’s life, and for my freedom. Darkness lingered and my father offered my hand to the boss of the Chicago outfit to ensure my protection.

Jax Moretti came into my life as a hero and then claimed me as his own. He claimed he'd only wanted to protect me, but the dark shadows that lingered in his in eyes told a different story.

Nothing that belongs to this earth is ever free. Until I met Jax Moretti I
couldn’t have known how true that could be.

I love a good mafia romance.  I love a good suspenseful romance as well.  Add in a dominant male going head to head with a strong willed female who just happens to be the mafia princess and that just makes that clash of wills even more powerful.  Add all of those components together with some sexual tension that is off the charts then you have the beginning of this Sagatori Family Saga, Bella Vol 1.

I loved how Bella is strong and even though she at times has to keep her mouth shut when she doesn’t watch out because this princess has a huge bite to her.  I did also feel for her because you could tell that all she wanted was a chance for her father to see that she was strong enough but in the way of the mafia, women don’t have any power.  When she is forced to marry Jax I wasn’t sure what to think.

Jax is the head of the Chicago family, marrying Bella will raise his position even higher and he vows to protect her even if she wants nothing to do with the whole thing.  Now is Jax and asshole at times?  Yes he is, so much so if I were him I’d worry about her taking him out but then he is also sweet at other times.  With this being the first Volume of this saga we will have to wait and see just how things are going to play out not only with Bella and Jax but within the families as well.
