About me

Hi I'm Janna and I am a book whore! I started this blog after being a part of another for years. While being a big blog may be nice I like to stay true to me having a love for books, that's why I blog. I love books and I want to share that love with my readers of this blog. I love to read, books are my escape and a huge part of my life besides my husband and two children. I am honest and sometimes sassy in my reviews but never mean. Some of my favorite authors include Kristen Ashley, Penelope Douglas, T.M. Frazier, M.N. Forgy, Rachel Van Dyken, Meghan March and Vi Keeland to only name a few!

Please note that I am the ONLY reviewer on the blog beyond a few guest reviews. It has been brought to my attention that people not associated with my blog have been requesting ARCs please if you ever question a request please email me at the blog's email.

Release Blitz! Corrupted By Alexis Noelle

I’m being hunted.
Prey left defenseless.
I need to hide.
They can’t find me.
They’ll kill me if they do.
When Lucy decided to run nowhere to go. They were coming for her. She needed protection, but she had no one to help her. Until she came across the warehouse of the Deathstalkers MC, she begged them for protection. Now she owes them her life and her loyalty. Her family will never end their search for her, she is a piece of property that needs to be recovered at any cost necessary. Sometimes there are worse things than needing to hide for the rest of your life, like being found.
Sometimes the obvious evils aren’t the ones you need to fear.

I have always enjoyed this author’s work.  I know when I read her book that I am going to read something emotional, heart breaking and at the same time healing.  So I am really torn when it comes to Corrupted.  I enjoyed the book but I really wish that it had been longer so that certain issues weren’t just swept under the rug.  I also really need to warn you all that there are triggers in this book, so if abuse both physical and sexual as well as rape are triggers for you please take caution because trust me these are not easy scenes to read and I love a darker book.

Whip and Lucy are thrown together from the very beginning.  To get his patch he must protect her until she turns eighteen.  We get to read about Lucy not only getting older, the non-relationship between her and Whip becoming more and more.  That these two were meant for one another.  When Whip does claim Lucy it was sweet, but I would have expected so much more.  Also there are more than one occasion where I felt let down or thought things had just been swept under the rug that should have been explored further to help round out the book.  Now don’t get me wrong there is plenty of action throughout, I just wanted more.

Now, this is the first book of the series so I am curious to see what direction the author plans on taking it.  Corrupted may not a book that I am raving about but it was still good and a good start to this series and a book that I am glad I read, even when some parts brought tears to my eyes more than once.  There are a lot of the characters we are introduced too that I want to know more about.

Alexis Noelle lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with her husband, and three kids. On top a writing career, she is a full-time student and a full-time mom. She loves spending time with her kids, although she has to hide the computer from them when she is writing! She love being active and being outdoors, especially if it involves any kind of shopping. She has always been passionate about writing. She loves to read romance books and feels like being able to lose yourself in a book is one of the more exciting aspects. The books she loves to read and write will be ones that make you feel for the characters. Ashley believes that you should have an opinion on every character in a book whether you love them, hate them, or think they are up to something. She also believes that the most important critic is your reader, so she loves to hear from the readers. She want her fans to be open & talk to her about what they want for the characters in the story, and what they would like to see happen.
