Bad boy billionaire Jax Shields has made plenty of enemies on his climb to the top, but being in the wrong place at the wrong time has put his life at risk. Now he's putting his life in the hands of Delaney and her team. He demands the best in everything, and he doesn't think she has what it takes to protect him. He's also made it clear he'd rather have her on her back then covering his. Will Delaney be able to prove herself to the most arrogant—and devastatingly handsome—man she's ever met?
**Hard To Forget is a full-length standalone romance with a HEA**
Hard To Forget is the third book in the Alpha Hearts series by Bella Jewel and it was just as good as the previous two books. I really have loved how each heroine has worked in an occupation that is typically a male’s job and how Ms. Jewel has shown once again that it doesn’t matter if you are male or female that if you can do the job and be kick ass at it, what you have between your legs shouldn’t matter.
Hard To Forget, especially in the beginning, was more angsty in my opinion because of how the way all the guys treated Delaney. What they would say to her, how they treated her for being a woman in a male dominated profession not only angered me but it also broke a little piece inside of me. Jax was the worst offender of all, well that is until Delaney finally proves that she can protect him even if she may have had some mistakes at first.
Jax and Delaney know that they need to keep their relationship a secret at least while Delaney is on Jax’s security detail but they can’t keep their hands off each other. Jax is one dirty, sexy son of a bitch and even when I wanted to slap him for a couple stupid choices he made I still loved him. I was proud of Delaney for choosing love over her career and that she didn’t hesitate when asked what was more important to her. I also loved how she trusted her instinct even when others tried to hold her back.
My only issue once again was that a certain situation really wasn’t handled. I’m sorry but Delaney need to kick some ass and make it clear where she stood and let someone know that they needed to stop immediately. That really was my only real issue because it could have been such a good scene to read about but it was anticlimactic and that disappointed me.
I have always loved Bella Jewel’s books and Hard To Forget is another one to add to my list. I hope she continues the girl power theme in other books because I really enjoyed this series and reading how a woman shows a man up in a job they are told they shouldn’t be doing.
