She’s a challenge he can’t afford to lose…
Navy SEAL Steven Thomas has only ever been able to count on three things: waking up in the morning, going to sleep sometime during the night, and Lauren Brixton. She’s been his best friend since grade school, and what they have is the only relationship he’s managed not to ruin.
Until one drunken night puts that all in jeopardy.
Lauren’s watched Steven flit from one-night stand to one-night stand, seemingly not interested in something more. So when the long-ignored attraction between the two of them blows up in their faces, she does the only thing she can—she pretends she doesn’t want him. But all’s fair in love and war, and Steven’s not about to lose the only person in his life who matters…
Say You’re Mine is
the fifth book in the Shillings Agency
series. I did not know before I started
it that it was part of a series, so I didn’t have the chance to read the
previous books prior to Say You’re Mine
and while I was able to follow along without a lot of questions or feeling lost
I think I would have enjoyed the overall book much more had I read the previous
books.
Say You’re Mine is
a friends to lovers book that not only had this book whore swooning at times,
but also searching for her husband once she was finished. I love a military man, hell I married one so
I always tend to enjoy books about a military hero more than others. What can I say? I love the uniforms. *sigh* Add in the friends to lovers angle and this
book whore was very happy.
Steven and Lauren’s story is one that readers who are looking
for a sexy friends to lovers book really should add to their TBR lists
asap. I always love seeing when a man
finally opens his eyes to what has been in front of him all along, for me I
love watching that transformation from friends to lovers, and watching Steven
and Lauren’s story will make you wish you were right there watching it all play
out.
