What did I do? I ran. Literally.
Kim was a typical college student with a splash of dorky, a dash of funny, and a pinch of clumsy…well, maybe more than a pinch. After making a fool of herself in front of her classmate Brent, and his friend, Travis, a dead-ringer for one her book boyfriends, she tried to stay away. But after a few hilarious chance encounters, they became fast friends.
And then came the bet. It was Travis versus Brent, but somehow Kim got roped in to help team Travis. He was supposed to find and woo his real life book girlfriend. What could go wrong with a couple of college kids and an innocent bet? Let the shenanigans and laughter ensue! And maybe add in a bit of friendship, fun and most definitely, love.
Book boyfriends. We all have them and hell I know I have a bunch of them. What? I am a book whore remember, geesh. Anyways we all have our book boyfriends and the high standard they set that the real life men in our lives can never meet. Or can they? What if you met your very own book boyfriend in real life? What would you do? I know what this book whore would do hehe.
Book Boyfriend by D.C Renee was funny, sweet, and overall a light read. Travis, Brent and Kim were great in this book. I will admit at times I am pretty bitchy about one character or another but honestly this time I enjoyed everything about it. I needed a read like this, I have been in a bad book funk that I am getting out of but the majority of what I have been reading as of late have been very angsty, emotional, ugly cry type of books that have drained me emotionally. Book Boyfriends will have a smile on your face from beginning to end. Oh and Travis Maddox fans, this is one you will want to read because, well just read it and see for yourself ;)
DC Renee has been writing all her life, from cheesy poems in elementary school (i'll share an example just so you know how cheesy: Flowers are my favorite thing; they usually bloom during spring. Pink, blue, yellow and green, so many colors that I have seen...etc.) to short stories and monologues, and eventually fan fictions for Days of Our Lives.
It was thanks to that superbly encouraging fan fiction community that DC found the courage to publish her first book - Let Me Go. It held fast in the top 100 Best Selling Contemporary Romance Fiction Novels on Amazon for over a month, going as low as the top 20's. Naturally, she loves to read, but she also likes watching hockey, dancing for fun, and loves her family.
