Family isn’t always defined by blood.
Sometimes family is born of love…
Sometimes the bond that comes from someone having your back through the shittiest of times is stronger than anything you get from genetics.
And sometimes you find that piece of your soul you didn’t even know was missing.
I’m a lucky guy like that.
I found a love that will never fade. I found a group of people who aren’t just my friends.
They’ve become my family.
There’s only one place to go from here.
I’m gonna bind myself to Rimmel in every possible way.
I’m gonna bring our family even closer together.
The past has taught me it won’t be easy.
Especially when faced with repercussions from a night that ended in death.
But that’s okay.
Family doesn’t quit each other.
Love like ours never dies.
Happily ever after isn’t just for storybooks.
I can’t believe that it is over. It all started with a #Nerd taking on the #Hater with the star football #Player, his best friend taking a #Selfie and feeling like a #Poser when in reality everything that happened was because of the #Heart that turned four friends into a family. I fell absolutely in love with the series from the start and was routing for the nerd to get her football player despite what others thought.
We have watched Rimmel and Romeo go through hell only to come out stronger together and more in love, we watched the bad boy be taken down by the fashionista who was more that people first saw. For this series to end, well sorta end because there is a bonus novella coming out next month but this is considered the final book, is breaking my heart. As a glasses wearing sometime nerd, okay almost all the time nerd, the love that Romeo showed Rimmel renewed my faith in love. I may be married and while there are days I truly hate my glasses, my husband swears he loves them on me, but to read that the alpha hot football player fell for the nerdy tutor just really resonated in my heart.
Braeden and Ivy’s stories had us remembering to look beyond the fancy clothes or makeup, that there are more to people than the personas they try to present. Some are worried that the sins of their fathers will come out in them, while other’s regret actions that when the truth comes out wasn’t what they thought had happened. Braeden and Ivy showed us what it really means to want to heal the people who we love when they are hurting or have suffered the unthinkable.
I loved how we got all of their POV’s in #Heart. I loved how they truly became a family of six. No I didn’t type the wrong number, don’t forget that Drew and Trent are their family as well. I cried, I laughed, I cried, I smiled and in the end I cried some more because I could read ten more books for this series and I honestly don’t think it would be enough. There is a small light in the darkness that this is ending, there will be a new series starting and we will see more of the original #Hashtag series characters. I really can’t wait to get Drew and Trent’s books.
Cambria Hebert, thank you for making this series one of my favorites and thank you for showing the world that being a nerd is sexy and to be true to who we are inside; whether that being a nerd, an alpha football player, a fashionista, or a BBFL. I look forward to what you have planned for your readers in the future.
